东北财经大学成功举办“IAER Econometrics Workshop 2025”

6月19日至20日,由东北财经大学筹划,华盛顿大学范延琴教授、东北财经大学王维国教授与澳门大学余俊教授联合发起的“IAER Econometrics Workshop 2025”在东北财经大学成功举办。校内外师生近百人次参加会议。
东北财经大学党委副书记、校长汪旭晖致开幕辞。他代表学校对会议组委会的精心组织表示诚挚感谢,向与会专家学者以及校内外师生致以热烈欢迎。他表示,作为经济学、管理学优势和特色突出,经济学、管理学、法学、文学、理学等多学科协调发展的研究型大学,东北财经大学坚持以学科建设为引领,加强高水平经管学科群建设。学校经济学科的发展,尤其是本次主办方之一高等经济研究院的发展,得到了与会专家的大力支持。他希望大家能够一如既往地支持、助力东北财经大学“双一流”学科体系的持续建设与完善,同时也希望与会师生借助此次研讨会平台,深入交流学术观点,促进合作与互动,共同推动计量经济学在中国的新发展和新应用。
本届会议共分为6个单元,涉及面板数据模型,时间序列和金融计量,网络计量经济学模型,半参数和非参数模型及方法,高维数据建模方法及理论,大数据、机器学习方法及理论,处理效应分析及理论等领域。21位国际计量经济学界知名学者和年轻学者报告了计量经济学前沿研究成果。浙江大学陈松年教授、巴黎综合理工大学Mathieu Rosenbaum教授、悉尼大学施学韬副教授、印第安纳大学布鲁明顿分校徐克力教授等4位专家应邀参加了本届研讨会并报告论文。本届研讨会面向国内外计量经济学者征稿,共有19篇论文入选。来自北京大学、北京师范大学、湖南大学、华中师范大学、暨南大学、辽宁大学、厦门大学、中国科学院,以及英国华威大学等国内外高校和科研机构的师生报告了最新研究成果。与会专家、师生围绕报告论文进行了深入交流。
东北财经大学统计学部主任王维国致闭幕辞,对与会嘉宾的积极参与和精彩分享表示诚挚感谢。他回顾了“IAER Econometrics Workshop”八届的发展历程,充分肯定了该会议作为学校推进学术研究国际化合作的重要平台,在提升东北财经大学科研国际化水平以及计量经济学学科国际影响力方面所发挥的积极作用。
会议开幕式、闭幕式由高等经济研究院执行院长胡蓉主持。
“IAER Econometrics Workshop 2025”作为第九届会议由东北财经大学高等经济研究院、经济学院、发展规划与学科建设处、科研处联合举办,是各方深入交流、扩大合作后举办的一次高水平学术会议,为校内外师生提供了拓宽学术视野、提高创新能力的难得机遇,对学校加强海内外学术交流合作、促进应用经济学科的发展,加快“双一流”建设具有积极推动作用。
DUFE Held IAER Econometrics Workshop 2025

IAER Econometrics Workshop 2025, sponsored by Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE) and co-organized by Professor Yanqin FAN from University of Washington, Professor Weiguo WANG from DUFE, and Professor Jun YU from University of Macau, was held on June 19-20, 2026. More than 100 scholars and graduate students attended the Workshop.
Xuhui Wang, the Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of DUFE, president of DUFE, delivered the welcome speech. On behalf of DUFE, He first expressed his gratitude to the organizing committee for their careful organization. He said, the past years witnessed the growth of DUFE. DUFE is a research-oriented university focusing on economics, management, law, arts, and science. DUFE adheres to the guidance of discipline construction and strengthens the development of high-level economics and management discipline clusters. He briefly introduced the Institute for Advanced Economic Research (IAER), one of the organizers of this conference, of DUFE. and expressed his hope that everyone would continue to support the development of IAER and the discipline construction of DUFE in various ways and through various channels. He also extended a warm welcome to the experts, teachers, and students from both inside and outside the university, hoping that the participants could seize the opportunity to conduct in-depth exchanges and jointly promote the new development and application of econometrics in China.
There are 6 sessions in the Workshop, covering topics of Panel data models, Time series analysis and financial econometrics, Network econometric models, Semi- and non-parametric models and methods, Methods and theories for modelling high-dimensional data, Methods and theories for big data and machine learning, Treatment effect analysis and theories. 21 distinguished and young econometricians presented their frontier research, and received constructive comments from the audiences. The Workshop invited a total of 4 top-tier econometricians to attend and present: Professor Songnian Chen from Zhejiang University, Professor Mathieu Rosenbaum from École Polytechnique, Professor Xuetao Shi from the University of Sydney, and Professor Ke-Li Xu from Indiana University Bloomington. The Workshop called for papers from econometricians worldwide, and accepted 19 papers for the program. Faculty members and students from Beijing Normal University, Central China Normal University, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Hunan University, Jinan University, Liaoning University, Peking University, University of Warwick, Xiamen University presented their recent research findings. The academic discussions throughout the sessions were in-depth and fruitful.
Weiguo WANG, director of College of Statistics delivered the closing speech. He extended his profound gratitude to all the speakers and traced the illustrious history of the IAER Econometrics Workshop and affirmed its important role as a significant component of the university’s international cooperation in academic research, and its positive impact on enhancing the internationalization of the university’s academic research and the international influence of quantitative economics.
The welcome and closing ceremony were hosted by Prof. Rong Hu, Executive Director of IAER, DUFE.
The IAER Econometrics Workshop 2025 is an annual event, marking its ninth installment this year. The organizers of the IAER Econometrics Workshop 2025, which are IAER, School of Economics, Strategic Planning Office, and Office of Academic Research of DUFE, spared no effort in hosting a preeminent economics conference that profoundly fosters communication and collaboration among researchers. As a crucial component of DUFE’s international academic research cooperation, the IAER Econometrics Workshop 2025 served as an invaluable platform for economists to broaden their research horizons.
