Why do we take risks, choose default offers, or spend too much trying to win? How do our choices change when others respond—and when AI starts making decisions for us?
In this lecture, Professor Jingjing Zhang, invites students to think like economists through everyday examples and insights from behavioural economics. Students will explore how trade-offs, fairness, social influences and competition shape decisions, discovering why individually sensible choices can produce surprising collective outcomes.
