Workshop on Statistical Learning and Econometrics

Workshop on Statistical Learning and Econometrics, co-organized by Institute for Advanced Economic Research (IAER), School of Economics, Center for Econometric Analysis and Forecasting, and School of Mathematics of Dongbei University of Finance and Economics (DUFE), aims to explore the edge-cutting issues of statistics and econometrics and provide an academic exchange platform for teachers and students of DUFE.

 

Keynote Speakers

Aman Ullah is currently Distinguished Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics, University of California, Riverside, Distinguished Visiting Professor in DUFE and Overseas Director of IAER, DUFE. He pioneered nonparametric and semi-parametric methods and their application in econometrics.

Lijian Yang is a professor in Center for Statistical Science in Department of Industrial Engineering, Tsinghua University and adjunct professor, Michigan State University Center for Global Change & Earth Observations. He is ASA Elected Fellow, IMS Elected Fellow, and ISI Elected Member. Professor Yang is the first Chinese winner of Tjalling C. Koopmans Econometric Theory Prize.

Shujie Ma is tenured professor of University of California, Riverside. Professor Ma is also an associate editor of Journal of Business & Economic Statistics, Statistica Sinica and other international statistical journals.

Yuling Jiao is an associate professor in School of Statistics and Mathematics, a Wenlan Scholar, Zhongnan University of Economics. Dr. Jiao is a leading young scholar in the field of statistical learning and computational mathematics in China.

Yanyuan Ma is a professor of statistics in the Pennsylvania State University, ASA Elected Fellow as well as IMS Elected Fellow. Professor Ma is also an editor of JRSSB and some other top international journals.

Yuxin Zhang is an associate research fellow of Chinese Academy of Sciences, an editor of two SCI journals and a guest editor of Econometrics.
