Dr. Robert ENGLE is the Michael Armellino Professor of Finance at New York University Stern School of Business. He was awarded the 2003 Nobel Prize in Economics for his research on the concept of autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity (ARCH). He is currently the Director of the NYU Stern Volatility Institute and is the Co-Founding President of the Society for Financial Econometrics (SoFiE), a global non-profit organization housed at NYU. He received his bachelor of science in physics from Williams College and his master of science in physics and doctor of philosophy in economics from Cornell University. His research interests include econometrics and empirical market microstructure.

Dr. Eric GHYSELS is the Edward M. Bernstein Distinguished Professor of Economics and a finance Professor at Kenan-Flagler Business School. He received his PhD and MA from Northwestern University and his BA from the University of Brussels. He is a fellow of the American Statistical Association, the co-founded with Robert Engle the Society for Financial Econometrics (SoFiE), also the former co-editor of the Journal of Financial Econometrics. His work is mostly on topics pertaining to Mixed data sampling regression models and filtering methods.

Dr. James HAMILTON is the Robert F. Engle Professor of Economics, University of California at SD. He is a Fellow of the Econometric Society and the Journal of Econometrics and a Founding Fellow of the International Association for Applied Econometrics. He received a Ph.D. in economics from the University of California at Berkeley in 1983. His research work includes macroeconomics, econometrics and energy economics, especially influential in time series and energy economics. His very influential book “Time Series Analysis” has sold over 50,000 copies and has been translated into Chinese, Japanese, and Italian.

Dr. Jikun HUANG is a Professor at the School of Advanced Agricultural Sciences and Director of China Center for Agricultural Policy at Peking University. He is a Fellow of the World Academy of Sciences, Honorary Life Member of the International Association of Agricultural Economists, and a Fellow of Agricultural and Applied Economics Association. He is also the president of Asian Society of Agricultural Economists (ASAE), vice-president of Chinese Association of Agricultural Economics. His research interests include food and agricultural policy, food demand, supply, market and trade, resource management, economics of climate change, modelling and rural development.

Dr. Per MYKLAND is the Robert M. Hutchins Professor of Statistics and Finance, and Scientific Director of the Stevanovich Center of Financial Mathematics, the University of Chicago. He is Associate Editor for several journals, including the Journal of the American Statistical Association, and Journal of Financial Econometrics. He is a fellow of the Institute of Mathematical Statistics, the American Statistical Association and the Society for Financial Econometrics (SoFiE). He is currently President of the Society for Financial Econometrics, from 2017 to 2019. His main research interests are the statistics and econometrics for time dependent processes, including time series and continuous processes.

Dr. Whitney NEWEY is the Jane Berkowitz Carlton and Dennis William Carlton Professor of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a well-known econometrician. He is best known for developing, with Kenneth D. West, the Newey–West estimator, which robustly estimates the covariance matrix of a regression model when errors are heteroskedastic and autocorrelated.

Dr. Shouyang WANG is a Bairen distinguished professor of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), a Changjiang distinguished professor of Ministry of Education. He is the chief economist and director of the CAS Center for Forecasting Science, the Dean of School of Economics and Management, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He is a Fellow of the World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) and academician of the International Academy for Systems and Cybernetic Sciences (IASCYS). He is also the chairman of the Committee for TWAS Siwei Cheng Prize of Economics, a member of the TWAS Advisory Committee, and is/was the editor, an area editor, an associate editor, and an editorial board member of 12 international journals, including Energy Economics, and Information and Management.

Dr. Tongsan WANG is the senior research Fellow and a member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the former director of the Institute of Quantitative & Technical Economics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
