Introduction
The Econometric Society is pleased to announce that the “2024 Asian Summer School in Econometrics and Statistics of the Econometric Society” will be held at Dongbei University of Finance and Economics, Dalian, China, July 15-21, 2024. The Summer School is a collaborative effort by the following prestigious institutions:
• Academy of Mathematics and Systems Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences
• Center for Forecasting Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences
• Institute for Advanced Economic Research, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics
• School of Economics, Dongbei University of Finance and Economics
• Paula and Gregory Chow Institute for Studies in Economics, Xiamen University
• School of Economics and Management, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences
The program is primarily designed for young faculty members and Ph.D. students in related fields.
Lectures will be delivered in person, but participants have the option to attend either in person or online. However, we strongly encourage attendees to participate in person.

All lectures are conducted in English. Topics to be covered include but not limited to time series econometrics, panel data analysis, machine learning, causal inferences, and stochastic dominance.
In addition to lectures, we will organize workshops where a selected group of participating students can present their research in English.
