Workshop on Macroeconomics and Development, to be held at Dalian on August 5th-7th, 2019, aims to provide a platform for macroeconomists, especially young scholars, to present their ideas and researches in the field of macroeconomics and development. The workshop will include keynote speeches and invited speeches.
Keynote Speakers
Dr. Johnathan HEATHCOTE, Monetary Advisor in the Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis and editor of Review of Economic Dynamics. His work has been published in top journals including American Economic Review, Journal of Political Economy, and Review of Economic Studies.
Dr. Daniel Yi XU, Professor of Economics at Duke University. He has received grants from the National Science Foundation, the Private Enterprise Development in Low-Income Countries, and the NET Institute. His research focuses on Productivity, International Trade, and Industrial Organization. His most recent work has been published in Rand Journal of Economics, World Bank Economic Review, American Economic Review and Review of Economic Dynamics.
Invited Speakers
Dr. Kaiji CHEN, Associate Professor at Emory University. His research interests include Macroeconomic Implications of Financial Contracts, Business Cycles, Social Security, Consumption and Savings.
Dr. Feng DONG, Associate Professor of economics. His research interests include Macroeconomics, Monetary Economics, Network Economy and the China's Economy.
Dr. Ying FENG, Assistant Professor at the National University of Singapore. Her research interests include Macroeconomics, Growth and Development.
Dr. Alessio MORO, Associate Professor of Economics at University of Cagliari, and the Director of Master in Economics, and Finance and Public Policies at University of Cagliari. His research interests include Macroeconomics and Development.
Dr. Yong WANG, Associate Professor of Economics and Academic Deputy Dean of the Institute of New Structural Economics at Peking University. His research interests include Growth and Development, Macroeconomics, Political Economy, China and India Economies.
Dr. Wen YAO, Assistant Professor at Tsinghua University. Her research interests include International Finance, Macroeconomics, and Computational Economics.
Dr. Xin ZOU received her Ph.D. degree from Singapore Management University in July 2019. Her research interests include Urban and Regional Economics, International Economics, and Applied Micro Theory.
